Privacy Notice

What we store

When you use MeriReports, we store:

• The original report file you upload (PDF or photo)
• The test results we read from it — test name, value, unit, the normal range printed on your report, any H/L flag the lab marked, the report date, and the lab's name
• Your name, date of birth, and sex, if you've shared them
• The email address from your Google sign-in
• Any corrections you make to a result we read incorrectly

That's it. We don't ask for anything beyond what's needed to organize your reports and show you how things have changed over time.

Why we use it

We use this information only to run MeriReports — reading your reports, organizing your results, and showing you trends across reports over time. We don't use it for anything else.

Where it's stored

Your test results and account details are stored on servers based in India (Mumbai).

Your original report files (the PDF or photo you upload) are stored on secure third-party cloud storage. We're still confirming that this storage is India-only, and will update this notice once that's settled.

When we read a report — pulling out test names, values, and ranges — the image is sent briefly to an AI service to do that reading. This service is operated by a provider based outside India. It only processes the image to extract the text; it isn't where your report is stored long-term.

Who can see your data

• Other MeriReports users can never see your reports. Your account only shows what you've uploaded.
• We (the people running MeriReports) can technically access stored information when needed — for example, to fix a bug, investigate why a report didn't read correctly, or respond to a support request.
• We don't sell your health information, and we don't use it for advertising.
• We don't share your reports with doctors, labs, insurers, or advertisers.
• Some behind-the-scenes service providers (like our cloud storage and database providers) handle information on our behalf, purely to keep MeriReports running. They don't use it for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Your reports stay in your account until you delete that report, or delete your account. Once you delete something, we remove it from the app immediately.

Some technical backups may briefly retain a copy for a short period after deletion, as a safety measure in case something goes wrong on our end — this is standard practice, and these backups aren't accessible through the app.

Your control

You can, at any time:

• View everything you've uploaded
• Correct a result we read wrong
• Delete a single report
• Delete your account, which removes your reports and account information — see deleting your data
• Write to us with any privacy question or concern

A quick note on medical advice

MeriReports is not medical advice and doesn't replace a doctor. Reading your report is done automatically and can occasionally make a mistake — please check the extracted values against your original report if something looks off. The normal ranges you see are exactly what your lab printed; MeriReports never creates or adjusts a reference range on its own.
